Just back from a fantastic couple of days learning from the silicone painting master @djmalinowski. I can’t quite believe I achieved such a realistic result. David is so generous with his knowledge and I couldn’t recommend the course more. David provided the head and taught us over two days how to achieve a realistic skin tone. The next character hand in the Pringles campaign was the “Godzilla” hand. I made this with a mixture of silicone and probondo pieces. First I sculpted the texture and then cast the pieces in silicon and made probondo moulds. Using lots of pieces gave the hand the ability to move and probondo is really hard wearing. Look out for the new @Pringles campaign shot last year by @tomvanschelven and styled by @mrgammon. I had the absolute pleasure of creating many hands but in this image we have the purple 👾 hand. It was a challenge to create these long fingers and I made finger extensions using latex mixed with purple acrylic paint. I made the suckers, veins and texture spots using a mixture of probondo and silicone pieces. The amazing @sallycrouchmakeuphair helped me apply on the day. Produced by @makingpicturessoho

Another one from shoot with Photographer @jimfenwick. This was an out of kit effect made using Third Degree. I used a little bit of glue under the silicone to help keep it in place for longer as I find Third Degree doesn’t have much staying power on its own, specially with blood and movement.
I used Maekup’s dried blood and also some Fleet Street Fresh blood which runs but then dries in place.

I hope no one finds this upsetting. Lovely shoot with @jimfenwick, @rolo_productions, @seriousboy1, @annabelleyb for a pharmaceutical company. Had to create ballet feet and used some of my fave products “scar”, “dried blood”, both by the legendary David Stoneman, the @kryolan bruise wheel and grease pallette.
